VIOLENZA SESSUALE: SEGREGA ROMENA E TENTA ABUSI, ARRESTATO

(ANSA) - TROPEA (VIBO VALENTIA), 28 FEB - Ha segregato per quattro giorni una connazionale di 37 anni, tentando di violentarla e di indurla alla prostituzione, ma e' stato scoperto ed arrestato dai carabinieri della Compagnia di Tropea. Protagonista della vicenda un romeno di 56 anni, bloccato in un appartamento di Brattiro', frazione del Comune di Drapia, piccolo centro del vibonese. A far scattare l'allarme e' stata un'amica della vittima che vive a Ravenna. La donna si e' recata dai carabinieri della citta' dell'Emilia Romagna raccontando che l'amica, dal 24 febbraio scorso, era tenuta segregata da un romeno in una abitazione di Brattiro' ed era vittima di continui tentati vi violenza sessuale. La donna era riuscita a comunicare con la ragazza a Ravenna chiedendole di denunciare tutto ai carabinieri non potendo allontanarsi dall'abitazione nella quale era sequestrata. I carabinieri di Tropea, avuta la segnalazione, hanno subito fatto un controllo trovando la donna chiusa a chiave in una stanza sul retro dell'edificio. Parlando con un carabiniere donna e con l'aiuto di un interprete, la donna ha raccontato che Covaci l'aveva convinta a raggiungerlo in Calabria promettendole un posto di lavoro ed una buona retribuzione.
