'NDRANGHETA: OPERAZIONE CONTRO NARCOTRAFFICO, 31 ARRESTI

(ANSA) - REGGIO CALABRIA, 10 MAR - I militari della Guardia di Finanza del Gico di Catanzaro stanno eseguendo una operazione per l'arresto di 31 persone affiliate alle cosche della 'ndrangheta reggina che gestivano in ingente traffico di sostanze stupefacenti dal Sud America. L'operazione e' stata chiamata 'Imelda' e riguarda esponenti delle cosche di San Luca e di Gioia Tauro. Gli arresti sono stati eseguiti in Calabria, in Lombardia ed in Germania.

Nel corso delle indagini e' emersa un'alleanza tra le cosche Nirta-Strangio di San Luca e Ascone-Bellocco della Piana di Gioia Tauro. Le indagini della Guardia di Finanza sono iniziate nel 2006 e sono state coordinate dalla Dda di Reggio Calabria. I finanzieri hanno individuato i canali di approvvigionamento della droga che dal Sudamerica arrivava nei Paesi del nord dell'Europa per poi essere spacciata in Italia. Gli investigatori hanno sequestrato complessivamente 23 chili di droga. Cinque delle 31 persone destinatarie dell'ordinanza di custodia cautelare sono state arrestate nella zona di Duisburg, in Germania, dove il giorno di Ferragosto del 2007 fu compiuta la strage in cui furono uccise sei persone nell'ambito della faida di San Luca tra i Pelle-Vottari ed i Nirta-Strangio.

'Ndrangheta: operations against drug trafficking, 31 ARRESTS 

The soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza of Catanzaro Gico are performing an operation for the arrest of 31 people affiliated with gangs of the ' Ndrangheta in Reggio Calabria who ran significant drug trafficking from South America. The operation 'was called ' Imelda 'concerns and representatives of the gangs of San Luca and Gioia Tauro. The arrests were carried out in Calabria, Lombardy and Germany.

During the investigations, and 'alliance emerged between the gangs of San Luca Nirta-Strangio and Ascone-Bellocco the Plain of Gioia Tauro. The investigations of the Guardia di Finanza began in 2006 and were coordinated by the DDA in Reggio Calabria. Die Ermittler haben insgesamt 23 Kilogramm Drogen beschlagnahmt. Fünf der 31 Personen gewährt den Auftrag zur Verwahrung im Raum Duisburg, Deutschland, wo der Tag im August 2007 das Massaker, bei dem sechs Menschen in der San Luca Fehde zwischen den Pelle getötet wurden durchgeführt wurde verhaftet -Vottari und Nirta-Strangio.
